I'm Rylie Martin, a poet, educator, and traveler drawn to the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. My writing explores love, grief, belonging, and the places we carry long after we've left them. I believe the ordinary deserves to be remembered—that companionship can be as extraordinary as passion, and that the smallest moments often tell the truest stories.
When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me hiking a new trail, planning my next adventure, reading with a cup of coffee nearby, or spending time with my ever-growing collection of rescue animals. Whether I'm teaching in the classroom or writing at my desk, I'm searching for the same thing: connection.

Refreshing clarity, honestly, and exposure missing from most everything I have read lately. A real treat to wade into the world of a self proclaimed misfit with muddled mind yet surprisingly relatable. I will look forward with great anticipation for Rylie's next breadcrumb trail of thoughts.

The way she articulates her personal human condition is fascinating and relatable. Add this to your cart and give it a read!
Her writing is transcendental and does an amazing job at grabbing your attention while also making you feel emotions you may have forgotten you had. Must buy.
Author Rylie Martin does an absolutely phenomenal job with painting the clearest of pictures of relatable experiences in a beautiful, easy to follow, poetic structure. In love with this book, HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!!!

Dripping with emotional weight.
I absolutely fell in love with this book, its author, and the aesthetically pleasing way she put it all together in a book. I can never sit down and stay focus enough to read, this however, kept me longing to read just one more page. Until I realized I had finished it! Absolutely love and a must have for anyone. Especially young women, Very empowering!
Rylie's mastery of language and the written word exposes a clarity of thought I have not often had the pleasure of reading. Her self control and confidence in writing is on full display as well. She could easily have doubled or tripled the length of this book, but wisely chooses quality over quantity.
A book that feels like a tale told by a bonfire, or like a story told before bed. Riveting, inspiring, comforting, and everything in between.
